Building on CPRE’s most popular talk last year, Charlie Burrell’s account of rewilding at Knepp, CPRE continue their rewilding exploration with ‘Rewilding: the Return of the White Storks’ with Lucy Groves, White Stork Project Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to hear Lucy discussing this thrilling initiative. The White Stork Project is a pioneering partnership who are working together to restore a population of breeding White Storks in southern England after an absence of several centuries. Lucy will discuss the progress of the project so far – including how and when the storks are released, the excitement of the first successful breeding in 2020, the innovative methods the team are using to track the storks progress, including satellite tracking migration, and the work carried out by volunteers.
From the comfort of your armchair, hear from Lucy as she explains the wider vision of the project to use the emblematic White Stork in reconnecting people with nature.
The event is at 7.30pm on Thursday, 7th April : Click HERE to book your tickets
Funds raised will be shared between CPRE Sussex and the White Stork Project.
