Lewes District Council are reviewing their Local Plan. They have published an ‘Issues and Options’ public consultation. The consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 3rd September 2021. The plan covers everywhere in the district outside of the boundaries of the South Downs National Park which has its own Local Plan. In recent years the Government has changed national planning policies and how it calculates the numbers of homes each area should aim to provide. As a result, their new plan needs to reflect these changes and re-evaluate the number of homes that the area should provide over the next 20 years. The ‘Issues & Options’ document is the first consultation stage in the Local Plan preparation process. How to have your say:
- Download and read the ‘Issues and Options‘ document from the Council’s webpage.
