New plans for the A27 Arundel Bypass by Highways England will devastate Arundel, surrounding villages, beautiful countryside, and the setting of the South Downs National Park. Highways England announced in October 2020 that the GREY ROUTE is its Preferred Route for the Arundel Bypass. This long, expensive, 70mph dual carriageway is the wrong response to traffic problems in the time of Covid-19 and the Climate and Biodiversity Crisis.
