Sustainable Communities Fund

The Sustainable Communities Fund is a grant scheme administered by the South Downs National Park Authority to support local community projects that have a positive impact on future generations and take full consideration of social, economic and environmental concerns.  A total of £300,000 is available this year.

Grants (up to 75% of the total project funding for not for profit organisations) are available in two bands.  Minor projects seeking funding up to £2,000 and major projects seeking funding up to £20,000.  Local organisations are urged to apply for this money to help deliver sustainable development in the National Park.

The Grants Panel meets four times a year and more information on how to apply can be found here.

Other funding sources

East Sussex County Council produces a monthly update of sources of funding along with details of deadlines, etc.  Much of the information is relevant to organisations right across the South Downs and is not just confined to East Sussex.
